There’s always something new going on with fast-rising indie bands.  They’re the busiest people on earth.  So, it should come as no surprise that successful active rock band, YUCA, released another killer single on March 24th: “Maybe We’ll Riot”.

Over the past week, Matt, Andy and Dave have been busy in production for the corresponding music video.  Ironic, given the name of the song, that the police showed up and showed some muscle!  Okay, maybe it was all fun and games but the point of the song – and the video – is taking back the reigns of your own life – being the YOU that you really are.  YUCA celebrates individuality and breaking away from everything that keeps you from being real.

We spoke with Matt Borck, lead singer about the details.  His take on things is always profound and insightful.  He also shared some juicy information about the band, new tours and where inspiration comes from.

We’ll bring you the video soon as it drops.  In the meantime, enjoy their killer video for “I’m Alive She Said”.  Shot in Tokyo while on tour in Japan, this video takes in the nightlife of this beautiful and exotic city.  Make sure to watch the faces of the people in the crowd.  They didn’t expect to be a part of a music video!
